Aviel Menter is an associate in the Litigation group. Before joining Irell, he clerked for the Hon. Holly A. Thomas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Hon. Denise L. Cote of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Avi earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Ruth Bader Ginsburg Scholar. He was also awarded the Charles Bathgate Beck Prize in property law and Paul R. Hays Prize in civil procedure. He served as submissions editor of the Columbia Science & Technology Law Review and worked as a judicial extern for the Hon. David O. Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Avi received his B.S., summa cum laude, in Computer Science with a specialization in intelligent systems and a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
