Irell & Manella's pro bono program was featured in the September 7, 2012 Daily Journal article, "Pro Bono a Must for Irell & Manella Hires." The article discusses Irell's new initiative aimed at strengthening the firm's commitment to pro bono and to giving back to the community.
The program requires that all new hires, including new associates and laterals, complete 60 hours of pro bono work in their first year at the firm. Each new attorney is assigned a pro bono work coordinator and given the opportunity to partner with legal services and public-interest organizations.
