Morgan Chu Elected to Harvard Board of Overseers

On June 4, Harvard University announced that Mr. Chu was elected to a six-year term on the Harvard Board of Overseers, one of the two governing boards of Harvard University.  Elected to the Board with Mr. Chu were former New York Times reporter Linda J. Greenhouse, New York City Public Schools Chief Operating Officer Photeine M. Anagnostopoulo, the Smithsonian’s Director of the Museum of Natural History Cristián Samper, Vanderbilt University cardiologist Walter Clair, and the former CEO of Vertex Pharmaceuticals Joshua S. Boger.

Mr. Chu joined Irell in 1977.  He has been a member of the firm's Executive Committee since 1985.  Mr. Chu graduated from Harvard Law School J.D. (1976), magna cum laude and holds degrees from Yale University M.S.L. (1974) and the University of California at Los Angeles A.B. (1971), M.A. (1972) and Ph.D. (1973). 

Mr. Chu has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 Trial Lawyers” in the nation and “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America” by The National Law Journal and "The Outstanding Intellectual Property Lawyer in the United States" by Chambers & Partners.
