Eric Hayden is an associate in the Newport Beach office of Irell & Manella LLP, where he is a member of the firm's litigation workgroup.

Mr. Hayden received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of the University of Chicago Law Review.  He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University.

Mr. Hayden's recent work includes representing The Regents in The Regents of the University of California v. UCLA Primate Freedom, et al. and Primate Freedom Project, Inc. v. The Regents of the University of California, cases involving First Amendment litigation related to a suit brought by The Regents to enjoin unlawful activities of animal research opponents.
